Refugee Resettlement and Immigration
Services of Atlanta

RRISA is a non-profit agency with a multi-lingual, multi-
cultural staff that provides an entry into the American
culture and continued services for hundreds of
refugees each year. They come with only a few
belongings and in debt for the price of their
transportation from countries in Africa, the former
Soviet Union, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East.
Working with the community, RRISA strives to improve
the plight of displaced and uprooted people. RRISA
answers the humanitarian call to serve those fleeing
from persecution, war, famine and extreme poverty.
Our mission is to help refugees, asylees, victims of
human trafficking, and Cuban/Haitian entrants resettle
in the U.S. and regain self-sufficiency. Learn more on
their website: http://www.rrisa.org.

Eula Clay's
Urban Street Ministries
"We must walk by faith, not by sight." Eula Clay
doesn't have a lot of things. In fact, the only thing she
knows she will always have: faith. And what she's able
to do on her faith is nothing short of amazing. Eula's
ministry relies 100% on donations from the community
to provide clothing and cook meals for people who are
homeless, transitioning from prison, or are in extreme
poverty. While she gives away most of the clothes that
are donated to her, she sells enough at flea markets
to buy basic toiletries for those that she serves and to
cook meals for the hungry. The only money she keeps
for herself is just enough to cover the booth fee and
put gas in her car. And she has completely devoted
her life to this path. Clothing that is donated to Urban
Street Ministires either directly goes on the backs of
those who need it most, or puts food in the mouths of
those who otherwise would not eat. Want to help or

Owner Bonnie Kallenberg won first runner up for DeKalb Champion's 2011 Community Champion Search!
47 people were nominated and Bonnie was one of 16 semi-finalists. At the Champion Gala on Sept. 10th,  the 6 winners were revealed and as 1st runner up, Bonnie received a check from the Champion Newspaper in the amount of $2000 to give to the charity or cause of her choice, which will be Refugee Resettlement and Immigration Services of Atlanta (RRISA). Finders Keepers has raised over $30,000 for RRISA over the years and Bonnie currently sits on the Board of Directors of this organization.
These cash prizes awarded were made possible by the very generous and respected owners of the Champion Newspaper, Carolyn and Earl Glenn. Congratulations to them as they celebrate 20 years of the Champion, the official newspaper of DeKalb County.

A personal note from Bonnie about this recognition:It was truly an honor to be selected as a "Community Champion" by the Champion Newspaper for my work and fundraising efforts for RRISA. Those of you who have been to our bag sales, donated clothing to the RRISA account, dropped money in the jars at the register, or donated your cash prize for naming the men's store to RRISA, have been a part of this effort as well. Finders Keepers is a blessing in my life and it is my intent that we be a blessing to our community here in DeKalb County. This would not be possible without my wonderful customers, consignors and employees. Please know that I am extremely grateful for you all.
Sincerely,
Bonnie Kallenberg
