Every week at least one customer asks me how Casey’s doing. She and another employee authored the business plan for our Boutique location that opened in 2007. Casey is my daughter and now lives on a farm in Oregon with her husband and 3 children, 3 horses and 3 dogs. They used to have chickens but that’s a story for another day.
You may recall she wrote and published the Hightower book trilogy under the pen name Jadie Jones. Many Finders Keepers customers purchased her books (thank you so much!) and encouraged her. The trilogy didn’t break any sales records but she learned a lot and gained fans and readers. About 2 years ago Parliament House contacted her and offered to publish the trilogy if she would re-write the books under their guidance and she was thrilled.
She painstakingly re-wrote every page under the direction of excellent editors. Each book was re-titled and they are now Wildwood, Windswept and Wayward. You can click to read more here http://www.dailywaffle.co.uk/2018/11/book-tour-wildwood-the-hightower-trilogy-book-1-by-jadie-jones/
This past weekend Wildwood won Best Equine Fiction Book in an awards ceremony at
the Equus Film Festival in NYC! https://www.facebook.com/EquusFilmFestival/
I knew you would be as proud of her as I am and wanted to share her success with everyone who asks about her! I hope you’ll even buy the books, they are available on Amazon.
And speaking of breaking sales records, about the same time Wildwood was winning an award, Boutique achieved record sales for the year and the year isn’t over yet! It seems the 2 things Casey “authored” are aligned right now with a lot of positive energy and I’m both humbled and delighted!
I’m grateful for everyone who supported Casey both as Boutique’s manager and as an author and I’m grateful for the Boutique team that achieved this year’s record sales. I am thankful for every customer and consignor who has supported Boutique + Menswear for 11 years with your business, kind words and support. Thank you from the bottom of my heart! It’s been a great year and we look forward to 2019!
