We barely made our connecting flight from Salt Lake City to Medford Oregon this time.
Last time I wasn’t so lucky and spent 11 hours in the SLC airport waiting on the next flight. This time, I ran from C terminal to F terminal and made the plane with about 8 minutes to spare. When it works, it’s great. When it doesn’t, there aren’t many alternatives.
I’ve been a runner for 25 years now and ran my first Peachtree Road Race in 1999. Being a runner came in handy that day for sure. The Peachtree Road Race celebrates 50 years on July 4th and I’ll be there for the race and the festivities. It’s one of my favorite annual events.
“Sitting is the new smoking” is a current mantra and we are encouraged to stand and walk as much as possible, even if we have a cubicle job. Well, at Finders Keepers we stand and walk all day and I’ve clocked upwards of 20,000 steps many times. I’ve had new employees quit because they couldn’t hack it and they were younger than me? I worry about the physical fitness of the younger generations as life is spent online and on the sofa. Goodness, they rarely go shopping at the mall anymore! At least there is walking involved at the mall.
Our activewear departments continue to grow at both clothing locations as more and more people join in fitness activities. We’ve recently dedicated a new space to
activewear at Finders Keepers Fashions to accommodate the great merchandise coming in for running, golf, tennis, yoga, swimming and more. Athletic shoes are a hot item, too. Boutique + Menswear has a nice assortment of activewear and favorite brands are Lululemon, Adidas, Athleta and Cailia.
I hope you are considering adding fitness to your schedule and that you’ll shop our fitness racks for things you need to work out at Finders Keepers prices.
